Dazu werden die beiden Zeichenmodelle genau beschrieben und als Grundlage die Definition beider Sprachwissenschaftler von Sprache dargestellt, denn ohne die w?re das sprachliche Zeichen gar nicht erst zu erkl?ren. Die Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten der beiden Modelle werden aufgezeigt und es wird erkl?rt, inwiefern sich die beiden Wissenschaftler beeinflusst haben. Dieses Thema ist besonders interessant, weil Ferdinand de Saussure und Karl B?hler ?u?erst bedeutsame und vielzitierte Linguisten sind, deren Theorien oftmals durch Ausz?ge ihrer prominentesten Passagen bekannt sind, aber kaum in G?nze wahrgenommen werden. Diese Arbeit gliedert sich in drei Teile. Zuerst wird das Zeichenmodell Saussures erkl?rt. Dieser Teil orientiert sich am franz?sischen Originaltext des Cours de linguistique g?n?rale, besonders wegen der pr?ziseren Begrifflich-keiten, sowie an seiner deutschen ?bersetzung. Die f?r Saussure wichtigen Aspekte des sprachlichen Zeichens werden in einzelnen Unterpunkten dargelegt. Dann folgt eine Beschreibung des Organonmodells anhand von Karl B?hlers Sprachtheorie. Weil dieses Modell sehr komplex und umfangreich ist, f?ge ich zur Orientierung die Abbildung des Modells in diesem Kapitel ein. Die Definition von Sprache nach B?hler wird im Unterpunkt 'Vierfelderschema' erkl?rt, indem ich eine auf B?hlers Abbildung davon basierende Tabelle als Grundlage der Erl?uterung verwende. Schlie?lich folgt der vergleichende Teil, in dem zuerst die differenzierten Definitionen von Sprache als essenzielle Begr?ndung f?r Unterschiede zwischen den Zeichenmodellen verglichen werden. Dann werden die wichtigsten Aspekte der Zeichen und Zeichenmodelle der beiden Sprachwissenschaftler einander gegen?bergestellt. Dieser Teil der Arbeit beruht besonders auf den umfangreichen Untersuchungsergebnissen von Konrad Koerner und Rolf M?ller.
