We love to cheer for the underdog and believe to our core that every life makes a difference. And we are right. There is no one God can’t use and no one whose brokenness is too broken for God. We know this is true for our friends when we want to encourage them. Yet, when it comes to the places of our innermost sense of shame and regret, we often wonder if it is really true that God can work all things together for good for those who love Him.

Angie Smith is one who was quick to encourage a friend, but struggled to believe that God could truly make something spectacular out of her broken- ness and disappointments. Responding to God’s leading to both break and reconstruct a simple pitcher, she reflected:

It was as though God were saying, here you are, Angie. You are mended. You are filled with my Spirit, and I am asking you to pour yourself out.

*The image of my life as a broken pitcher was beautiful to me, but at the same time, it was hard to look at all of the cracks. I ran my fingers along them and told Him I wish it had been different. How I wished I had always loved Him, always obeyed Him, always sought Him the way I should. I was mad at the imperfections, years wasted, gaping holes where it should be smooth. But God, my ever-gracious God, was gentle and yet convicting as He explained.

My dearest Angie. How do you think the world has seen me? If it wasn’t for the cracks, I couldn’t seep out the way I do. I chose the pitcher. I chose you, just as you are.*

Mended takes you on a journey to show how faith lived in the regular events of daily life is all that it takes to be a part of creating God’s picture of redemption in your life and those around you. Your life does make a differenceーbecause of how He is magnified in the cracks.

Endorsements:

Even the blindest heart could behold the gift of God upon Angie Smith. The messages teeming from her life, her voice, and her pen have the capacity to pierce through all our protective barriers. As she communicates, she throws herself into the same lot with the rest of us who struggle with fears and self-doubts and flaws but she leaves none of us languishing there. God speaks hope, help, and healing through Angie and does it so endearingly and even so humorously that you let your guard down and receive, even before you meant to. I first became acquainted with Angie’s story through her blog and remember reading the entire story of her darling baby girl, Audrey, in one sitting. I felt like she was talking straight to me across a small coffee table as she described the heartbreaking news of Audrey’s prognosis, the weeks of pregnancy still to come, and the sacred moments they held her in their arms before God swept her into His. She wrote about how Audrey would remain in their hearts forever and, through her story, she has remained in many of ours. Once I got to know more of Angie’s journey, I was slack-jawed by the realization that the two of us had our own connection in Christ. The Lord Jesus had called her to salvation as she worked through the Bible study called Breaking Free. What grace to tie two women’s lives together with journeys so different by the same woven thread of redemption! He called me to write that journey out of the restoration He brought from my own brokenness. That He would use it to accomplish something so life-giving in her brought me to my knees. I knew her to be a gifted writer as I read her blog, but it was not long before I saw more than that. I saw God blend a natural giftedness for writing with a clear determination to surrender that gift to one gorgeous end: Christ’s great fame. And then, I also saw a friend. Angie Smith is a true writer- one who has a perspective that comes only from walking through every shade of life and the shadow of death in His tight grasp."

-Beth Moore, Living Proof Ministries
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

This book focuses particularly on the self-reflexive elements of the divine and human transformation in the Christian life, which we find in St. Therese, especially her ability to wonder and question herself about the mysteries of God as they relate to her spiritual life and growth. It studies Therese's spirit of critical listening and profound spiritual reflection on the things of her experience and explores her self-reflective and interrogative self-understanding of her call to sanctity of life. The author also discusses how the Saint appropriated God's Word and God's grace hidden in the events of her life. The book shows how, through self-reflexivity and meditation on God's Word, she discovered her vocation as love in the heart of the Church, following which she desired to sing of the mercies of the Lord with her whole life by loving God and neighbor in ordinary things in an extraordinary way and by leading a legion of souls through this Little Way of love, which has a general or universal application to all who desire to attain perfection by a straight and short route. While it is recognized that God's grace works in individuals according to their personal vocations, the author believes that spiritual self-reflexivity helps the faithful to integrate meaningfully, like St. Therese, the general principles of the spiritual life and the example of the Saints into each individual's spiritual life in the events of daily life, irrespective of their individual vocations. And this is why the Little Way, as a spiritual path, can be lived by all who commit themselves to following the example found in St. Therese's simple, humble, and confident way of spiritual childhood--and of loving God and neighbor in the ordinary life and events of every day with reflexivity in love as the key.

Introduction:

Because of its location on India's sun-kissed western coast, the city of Dwarka retains a unique and enduring place within the greater tapestry of Hindu mythology and history. This ancient metropolis, since lost to the sands of time, is claimed to have been the administrative hub of Lord Krishna's heavenly realm. Its mere presence has remained a source of profound mystery and inexhaustible appeal for those who are attracted by it for countless generations of worshippers as well as intellectuals. Despite the echoes of time that surround it, the submerged proof of Dwarka's former gloryーan archaeological find that has lit its past like a torch of old grandeurーis what raises the riddle of Dwarka to heights never seen before. And here, where history meets the ethereal, the narrative continues: an incredible conviction that Lord Krishna's eternal spirit transcends mortal bounds and dwells, like a hidden diamond, amid the submerged maze of Dwarka's watery embrace.

This is where history collides with the otherworldly Dwarka is a genuine historical gem, and its allure draws us to embark on a profound voyage of research, one that navigates the subtle currents of both history and spirituality. Dwarka's appeal entices us to go on this trip. Without a question, Dwarka is an indelible mark on the map of India's legacy. It's a place where the concrete and the supernatural collide, creating a breathtaking scene. Dwarka is more than just a physical location for spiritual seekers; it is a sacred universe where the heavens and the earthly cohabit and mix. The Lord established his earthly dominion here, reigning with the wisdom of a divinity and the compassion of a guardian. As such, it stands as a testament to those who follow Lord Krishna's unshakable devotion, as it was here that the Lord established his empire. Dwarka's sacred land echoes with the echoes of old songs and the ardent prayers of tourists who believe the celestial melody of Lord Krishna's flute may still be heard in the delicate rustle of foliage or the faint murmur of the ocean waves. The exquisite song of Lord Krishna's flute, according to some pilgrims, may still be heard.

However, Dwarka's significance extends beyond the realm of spirituality; at its core, it can be seen as a tangible piece of India's historical puzzle. The fact that Dwarka appears in ancient literature such as the Mahabharata and the Puranas lends support to the idea that it is one of the oldest towns on the Indian subcontinent. While in this city, Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is supposed to have ruled as king. He is claimed to have created the legendary tales that continue to inspire new generations during his reign. Dwarka, a wealthy port city with architectural marvels, gorgeous palaces, and a culture as colorful as a peacock's plume, was once compared as a "Golden City," and its grandeur has been etched in time. Dwarka is also known as the "Golden City."

However, the city's watery counterpart, the city of Dwarka, which is buried beneath the surface, may be its most enticing aspect. The incredible undersea masterpiece discovered in 1983 by marine archaeologists working under the guidance of Dr. S.R. Rao made ripples in history and archaeology. The streets, walls, and structures that had been buried seemed to resonate with the vibrant footfall of Dwarka's previous residents as the ocean disclosed its mysteries. The pieces of pottery, sculptures, and other things that rose from the depths bore testament to the existence of a thriving society in this beachside haven. During the excavation, several relics were discovered.

Despite this archaeological miracle, it is the belief in Lord Krishna's immortality that elevates Dwarka's mystique to the sublime. The Bhagavata Purana is a holy scripture that recounts Lord Krishna's life and times. According to this literature, Lord Krishna did not die in the traditional sense when he left the world of the living. Instead, it was a divine intervention, a transcendental union of his earthly form with his celestial essence, a mahaprakasha moment. Dwarka is regarded as a region in where Lord Krishna's holy presence remains available in perpetuity; it is a sanctum in which devotees can experience communion with the divine in its purest form.

The fact that Christians travel to Dwarka to worship demonstrates the tremendous spiritual connection they have with this holy spot. It is a pilgrimage in which devotees aim not only to retrace Lord Krishna's steps but also to form a deep relationship with the divine nature that he embodies. This devotion is beautifully conveyed through the Dwarkadhish Temple, which is a work of art in its own right and serves as a great conduit for it. As it welcomes hordes of devotees who come to give their most heartfelt prayers and to view the majesty of the holy, it acts as a conduit for the continuing thread of faith that has been passed down over the millennia.

Despite the spiritual significance of Dwarka's immortality, there is an ongoing discussion in the realm of archaeology over this topic. Skeptics argue that the date of the submerged city is still ambiguous, casting doubt on the precise timing of Dwarka's submersion. There are also disagreements on the precise relationship between the legendary city of Dwarka and the archaeological site of the same name. These texts are thousands of years old. Others argue that the now-submerged city was a different settlement all along, adding yet another degree of difficulty to the Dwarka enigma.

Regardless of the scholarly debates, the present scientific instruments have been tremendously helpful in interpreting Dwarka's buried mysteries. The use of tools like carbon dating, sonar imaging, and underwater archaeology has revealed immensely useful insights into the city's history. Researchers are determined to discover the truth about Dwarka, including its origins and place in the greater fabric of Indian history. Dwarka, on the other hand, is more than just an archaeological or historical curiosity; it is a living testament to the interaction of faith and history, as well as the material and the ethereal. Lord Krishna is credited with amazing miracles in the city of Dwarka. The myths that swirl around Dwarka elicit a sense of wonder that transcends both time and space, from its miraculous building by the celestial hand of Lord Krishna to the awe-inspiring miracles credited to him in the city.

These stories, passed down from generation to generation, imbue Dwarka with a wealth of intrigue and mysticism, adding to the city's allure. The myth of the "Dwarka of Gold" is one of these myths that stands out as particularly appealing among the others. It tells of a city lost to the depths of the ocean that will one day resurface as a city of gold in the midst of great tragedy, offering solace and hope to the devout. This is a narrative about the eternal human need for atonement in the face of adversity. Dwarka continues to allure people in modern times, and as a result, it attracts not only faithful pilgrims but also curious visitors and anyone interested in history.

The city's transformation into a thriving tourist destination has boosted attempts to conserve its historical history and continue investigating its ancient past. Dwarka is now much more than a relic; it is a living memorial to Lord Krishna's eternal legacy and the huge impact that spirituality has had on the lives of millions of people all over the world. Finally, Dwarka's secrets, which vary from buried ruins to the belief in Lord Krishna's ever-present presence, serve as a compelling reminder of the tightly woven relationship between history, faith, and myth. Dwarka calls us to explore its depths, both literally and metaphorically, presenting a story that transcends earthly life and draws us into Lord Krishna's eternal embrace.

In a nutshell, the plot is as follows:

The Dwarka story is a fascinating tapestry that brilliantly combines elements of history, mythology, and spirituality, and it stimulates research of the subject from a variety of perspectives. The city of Dwarka, located on India's western coast, is depicted as the fabled capital of the kingdom governed by Lord Krishna in ancient books such as the Mahabharata and the Puranas. Because it is one among India's seven oldest cities, there is no debate about its historical significance. Dwarka was a prosperous port city known for its wealth. It was also known as the "Golden City," and it was distinguished by its refined architecture and vibrant culture. The Dwarkadhish Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Krishna, is a popular site for Hindu pilgrims.

The submerged city discovered off the coast of Gujarat in 1983 is largely recognized as one of the most significant discoveries in relation to Dwarka. Archaeologists excavating in the sea discovered a sophisticated network of streets, fortresses, and buildings that closely resemble ancient descriptions of Dwarka. Significant evidence in the form of pottery, sculptures, and artifacts supported the city's presence. The theme of Lord Krishna's immortality is heavily emphasized in Hindu mythology. Krishna renounced his human form, according to the Bhagavata Purana, by completing a divine act known as "mahaprakasha," which consisted of uniting his human body with his divine essence. Dwarka is cherished by followers as a holy place saturated by the divine presence of their deity of choice, Lord Krishna, as the location of his capital.

Dwarka has become an important pilgrimage destination as a result of this concept, attracting millions of Hindus seeking Lord Krishna's blessings and a deeper spiritual connection. The Dwarkadhish Temple, which still stands today, exemplifies this dedication. Dwarka's evolution into a renowned tourist destination has benefited the city's ongoing preservation and archaeological inquiry.
Life is a beautiful experience holding such wonder and possibilities. It's truly a gift from God. Nevertheless we all experience setbacks, ordeals, pain, heartache, sickness, and yes, even death. God did not cause these things to happen; still, He is forever there continually offering strength, love, and courage to see us through. If you allow Him, He will pick you up, hold you close, and heal your broken life. The secret is to not let the hard times defeat you or keep you from the beauty of life and unconditional love of God. Without His help and constant love, I would not have been able to endure some of the trials that were put in my path. God waits silently for us to reach out to Him. He will not force His way into our life or alter our free will. He leaves the choice up to each of us. When you allow God to guide and strengthen you, you will win. We are all blessed even in the middle of our hardships. The secret is not to let those times keep you from the love God offers and the gifts God has in store for you. I chose God and a new life. I pray you will also choose Him and your new life. I assure you it is not the end, not the end of my story or your story. Never stop looking for the rainbow in every storm. It's there, it's real. 【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Our Benevolent Cosmos Embracing the Mystery of Life【電子書籍】[ John Humphreys ]

I have always been inspired by Albert Einstein's quotation that 'the fairest thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. He who knows it not and can no longer wonder, no longer feel amazement, is as good as dead, a snuffed-out candle.'

Whilst this quotation challenges the scientist, the artist and the spiritualist, it also has implications for all of us - to accept and embrace the 'mysterious' aspects of life - whilst continuing our unending quest for answers.

Science seeks answers to all unresolved questions - including its cosmological search for the 'Holy Grail' or in Stephen Hawking's words, the 'Theory of Everything'. However, as science moves closer to the ultimate truth, even more questions and challenges emerge, with quantum physics being one prime example.

The question is then posed - can science now join forces with spirituality and religion to better understand and experience Einstein's prime emotion?

My response in this book is to highlight recurrent themes from a number of eminent authors in an endeavour to seek answers, albeit insufficient, to such questions. These authors range from brain scientists, to cosmologists, to spiritual leaders, to philosophers, to artists, to theologians, to historians, to sceptics. In excess of 160 references from a range of different genres have been accessed.

What are some of the topics? What is God; What is the nature of consciousness, soul and spirit; Are we all connected - to each other and to the natural world; Can we confirm the suggestion that we are all co-creators of the cosmos? Most importantly, how can we unveil our 'pure essence' which is shared by all on this planet.

Finally, what are the implications of these mainly empirically based findings on religion, using Christianity as a case study. Could we say that we are witnessing the green shoots of the Next Reformation of the Christian Church, totally different in nature from the first, 500 years ago.

I trust that my book provides a useful contribution to a greater understanding of Einstein's fundamental notion of the 'mysterious' or unresolved questions in life, and how we can fully embrace the enchantment of this mystery. Most importantly, it aims to support the breaking down of the barriers that separate people, communities and nations. After all, we all have a responsibility for the stewardship of this precious Earth!
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Standing Together in the Community of God Liturgical Spirituality and the Presence of Christ【電子書籍】[ Paul Janowiak SJ ]

We are here on earth not to guard a museum but to cultivate a garden flourishing with life and promised to a glorious future, John XXIII exhorted the Church at the dawn of the Second Vatican Council. In an age when some skeptics suggest that the reformed liturgy has lost the wonder and spiritual depth of previous ages, Standing Together in the Community of God affirms that we need not look back; the Sacred Mysteries are already in our midst. Their wellspring and summit is the heart of God, shared in the Trinity's own communion, announced now as pure Gift.

Praising God for God's saving acts in Jesus, as Vatican II reminded us, we encounter Christ's sacramental presence in four modes: in the person of the priest who gathers the community into communion, in the elements and actions of the sacraments, in the word proclaimed and preached, and in the assembly praying and singing (SC #7). In rhythm and harmony, these modes invite us to encounter the multivalent depth of the Mysteries that announce Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col 1:27). Together they proclaim the Risen One among us, the totus Christus, hope for a hungry world.

Allowing each mode its respect as a bearer of the sacred, these focal words and actions in the liturgy echo a communion song that announces Christ's real presence to us and for us and with us. Beginning deep within, this is a spirituality and piety for the twenty-first century, ever ancient and ever new.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】The Third Path: Breaching the Materialistic Wall, Grow in Spiritual Awareness of Life Here and Hereafter【電子書籍】[ Bud Carroll ]

"When I finished reading this book, all I could say was WOW! What a stunning piece of literary work... It is concise, brilliantly written, backed by scientific findings, with clear human logic and intelligence. If this doesn't awaken the masses to delve into who and what they truly are, I can't imagine what will."
~ Jerry Issa, teacher of metaphysics, Trenton, Michigan

This book will change your life if you let it.
If we are accidental beings on a remote planet in a vast universe, existing for merely a blip in cosmic time, what's the point of living at all? Until we learn life is too significant to be a short-lived brilliance that rises out of nothing and ends in nothing, we will continue to live out our lives in, what Thoreau saw as, quiet desperation.
We sense the materialistic wall when we ask the question, "Is that all there is?" Without resorting to miracles or magic, this book provides compelling evidence of life beyond the physical world by logically investigating the limitations of matter in the universe, by examining the gaps in scientific theories and by analyzing what the mystics already know about a spiritual existence.
It takes a dedicated seeker with no preconceived ideas and no intent on arriving to see beyond the materialistic wall. This book is intended to expand your awareness of life here and hereafter, hopefully providing the spark that will start you on your own personal pilgrimage. The mystics tell us we will be guided to the next step along our spiritual path when we are ready. Are you ready?

AWARENESS: The following might be the thoughts of those at different levels of awareness as they walk through a rose garden.
I want - I wonder how much I could get for these roses.
I believe - God created roses when He created the world and everything in it.
I doubt - Roses evolved from wild flowering shrubs, but most garden varieties are hybrids.
I seek - How could anything as beautiful as a rose happen purely by chance?
I know - Roses, like all life on Earth, are physical manifestations of spirit.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】The Purpose of Life Answers from the Soul and Tools for Spiritual Growth【電子書籍】[ Linnea Bailey, Ph.D. ]

We are all seekers. We all hunger to understand the mysteries of life, to make sense of life's purpose and meaning. We all have questions about the reality we sense under the surface of our day-to-day existence. In The Purpose of Life, author and psychologist Linnea Bailey, Ph.D., has provided both a guide for understanding our lives in the context of spirit, and a valuable set of practices for spiritual growth. In an accessible question-and-answer format, Bailey shares spiritual wisdom about those "Big Questions" we all wonder about, such as: Why are we here? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why is there so much pain and suffering in the world? Why does God let children die? What are the main spiritual lessons we are here to learn? What are our greatest psychological needs? What happens to us after we die? What is the purpose of relationships? The question and answer section of the book covers a wealth of topics, both mystical and practical, including karma, how it is created and cleared, human spirituality, the lessons we are here to learn, as well as fresh approaches to topics such as the Law of Attraction, abortion, illness, pain and suffering, homosexuality, darkness, and death. This knowledge transmits the author's sense of God as a spirit of love and Light, and resonates with truth, love, and joy. Another major section of this book is a compendium of tools for spiritual growth, from acupuncture, energy work, meditation and prayer, to working with a spiritual director. This chapter condenses a lifetime of spiritual practices and professional research into a useful reference for the spiritual seeker. Bailey explains dozens of strategies simply and directly, with advice on how the seeker might best utilize them, and often giving sources for further help or information. Linnea Bailey distills a lifetime of spiritual growth into The Purpose of Life. Those on the path of spiritual growth, both novices and longtime seekers, will find this volume an effective lifelong companion.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】The Holy Days of God, the Holidays of Man【電子書籍】[ Holly M. Snead ]

For two thousand years, the Church Universal has celebrated the life of our Lord. At Christmas, we remember and celebrate his birth in a stable in Bethlehem. We watch him grow to a young boy who sat at the feet of the Temple leaders and spoke wonders they could not understand. We continue to watch him as he started his ministry and preached to his people of the promises of God to the people of Israel. After his three years of ministry, we prepare for his suffering and death, and grieve at the foolishness of the people who could not believe. We stand at his cross and watch as his disciples who followed him fled in fear for their lives, but three days later we rejoice with the faithful women who went to the grave to grieve the loss of their Lord. To their wonder, and ours, we rejoice in his resurrection and celebrate the life he has given us through his suffering, death and resurrection. We celebrate his ascension to Heaven, with his promise that he would be with his disciples in the Presence of the Spirit, to teach and prepare them for his return.

Ten days after his Ascension, we witness and celebrate the Coming of the Spirit at Pentecost and rejoice in the birth of the Church. We hear the words of Peter and sit in wonder of all the Spirit promised. Then, suddenly, the Church stops its celebration. There is silence for six months, until in December we return to the stable in Bethlehem and start our celebration again. What have we forgotten; what do we neglect? What are we missing? Why has the celebration stopped at Pentecost? Where is the mature Church, the victorious Church. Where is the promised Return of our Lord in His Fathers Glory? Where is the Bridegroom? How much longer must the Bride wait?

Come with us as we learn the Rest of the Story and discover all we have missed because our celebrations stop at Pentecost. God calls us to celebrate the entire story, from beginning to end. He promised his faithful remnant that he would return to them and they would dwell with him in His Presence. He promised the rejoicing would have no end. Come with us as we learn and celebrate the Rest of the Story!

------------------------------------

A great tragedy of modern evangelical Christianity is the failure to either appreciate or to properly interpret the incredible significance of Israels Feast Days. The prophetic content of the feast days is normally given barely a summary acknowledgement and then forgotten. Holly Snead has done the Christian community a great favor in bringing to the fore not only the typological significance of Israels festal calendar, but Gods faithfulness in bringing all those feast days to final fulfillment in Christs Parousia.

What she brings to the reader is tremendous, and exciting, insight into how the NT writers applied Israel's feast days to the work of Christ. If you have never considered Israels New Moons, feast days and sabbaths as they relate to the End Times you owe it to yourself to read this book.

Whatever you do, read the Appendices! These special studies are more than worth the price of the book all by themselves.

Don K. Preston D. 【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Beings of Light And Dark A Philosophical and Spiritual Explanation of the meanings of Life【電子書籍】[ Cheryl Boudreaux ]

Do you wonder? Do you have big existential questions about your life and life in general? Do you wonder about the meaning of life and why we are here?

This story is written as a meditation and thought exercise. We follow two main characters as they explore the meaning of life. One character is a tiny blue speck in the vastness of the universe and the other is a human woman, one of the many smaller entities that live within the tiny blue speck which itself lives within another and so on infinitely. There is a synchronicity established as we see that the experience of the human woman mirrors on her level the experiences of the tiny blue speck which is intelligent at the cellular level. We humans may in fact be cells in another larger more intelligent body. Philosophy is explored as Amber looks for meaning while fulfilling assignments in her college philosophy class.

The book explores the idea of, ‘as above so below’ and the meaning of our existence by following the internal emotional view and the external practical view through the various colorful emotions of the rainbow. There is an exploration of the chakras and their healthiest meanings as well as an exploration of travels through the stages of grief as one of the main characters, a college student, has loss both of her parents in an accident and has to come to an understanding about life and love and connection. Understanding darkness and Shadow is an essential part of understanding the meaning of life. Both characters, the woman and the cell of light feels alone and on a mission of discovery. One character voluntarily leaves the collective glow while the other is left alone by the death of her parents.

The major lesson is one of connection, to one or more other beings. We connect by finding joy, sharing it, and by realizing, experiencing, and accepting the joy of connection with all of existence. Darkness and light are part of the same river seen from different perspectives. We are drops of light and color in a vast river of light with no beginning and no end. We are the glow. The several major pieces of the writer’s artwork included evokes the same kinds of meditative thoughtful frame of mind in pursuit of meaning. You are invited to kick your feet up and explore one verse, one picture and one emotion at a time. 【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】On the Principles of Taxing Beer and Other Brief Philosophical Essays【電子書籍】[ James V. Schall S.J. ]

What is real and what is noble, as well as what is deranged and wrong, can often be stated briefly. Nietzsche was famous for his succinct aphorisms and epigrams. Aquinas in one of his responses could manage to state clearly what he held to be true. Ultimately, all of our thought needs to be so refined and concentrated that we can see the point. So these are “brief” essays and they are largely of a philosophical “hue.” They touch on things worth thinking about. Indeed, often they consider things we really need to think about if our lives are to make sense.

The advantage of a collection of essays is that it is free to talk about many things. It can speak of them in a learned way or in an amused and humorous way. As Chesterton said, there is no necessary conflict between what is true and what is funny. Oftentimes, the greatest things we learn are through laughter, even laughter at ourselves and our own foibles and faults.

So these essays are “brief.” And they are largely of philosophical import. At first sight, taxing beer may seem to have no serious principle, except perhaps for the brewer and the consumer. But wherever there is reality, we can find something to learn.

Each of these essays begins with the proposition “on”ーthis is a classical form of essay in the English language. Belloc, one the essay’s greatest masters, wrote a book simply entitled “ON”ーand several other books with that introductory “ON” to begin it. The word has the advantage of focusing our attention on some idea, place, book, person, or reality that we happen to come across and notice, then notice again, then wonder about.

These essays are relatively short, often lightsome, hopefully always with a consideration that illumines the world through the mind of the reader. These essays are written in the spirit that the things we encounter provoke us, our minds. We need to come to terms, to understand what we come across in our pathways through this world. Often the best way to know what we observe or confront is to write about it, preferably briefly and with some philosophical insight. 【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】SEVEN SUPERNATURAL DIMENSIONS OF FINANCIAL PROSPERITY【電子書籍】[ Frequency Revelator ]

In this publication, Apostle Frequency Revelator explores the divine revelation of the Seven Dimensions of prosperity. He unveils the divine truth that while it is every believer’s divine legitimate right to amass humongous financial wealth from God in millions and billions, in your quest to partake of these riches which God has made available as an inheritance for every believer in Christ, it is important that you don’t be confined to one method of provision. This is because there are various ways of manifesting God’s wealth in the natural realm and as a believer, you must not be confined or limited to one method of operation. God has more than a million ways to through which He manifests His wealth, hence He cannot be put in a box or be compelled to gravitate to a lower level of man’s thinking. As a new creation believer, you are therefore strictly cautioned to explore these divergent ways of manifesting this special grace in the natural realm. In this critical end time season, some believers will receive supernatural wealth through miracle money, others will receive it through wealth transfer, others will become billionaires through financial multiplication, and others will have their business flourish through miracle repairs, while others shall receive untold wealth through supernatural angelic deposits, supernatural debt cancellation, supernatural financial rain and the golden rain. These are what we call the Seven supernatural dimensions of financial prosperity. This is because they are the current means through which God is sending prosperity to His children.

Therefore, if you are to receive money from Heaven today, expect it to come through any one of these seven dimensions or a combination of some. In essence, when Paul reiterated the voice of David that No eye has seen nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9), He alluded to these manifestations of the Spirit which shall characterise this end time season. As the glory of God is revealed more and more, things are going to be more exciting as miracles of such a heightened magnitude never seen before shall be unfolded from the Throne Room of Heaven. Depending on the gravity of manifestation, some shall breed awe, wonder and amazement while some shall trigger or provoke just cries of joy and celebration. Believers have indeed been plunged into a season of new things where there shall witness the unspeakable as the spirit realm manifest itself in the natural in intensity. Although there are many ways through which this grace shall be unreservedly poured upon the masses, there are key ways through which it shall manifest in its intensity and viscosity. In this publication, Apostle Frequency Revelator explores the following divergent ways through which the wealth of Heaven is supernaturally transferred into the natural realm by the hand of angels: supernatural wealth transfer, Miracle Money, supernatural angelic deposits, supernatural debt cancellation, supernatural financial rain, supernatural financial multiplication and the golden rain.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Take Up Your Mat and Walk Applying the Metaphor of Walking to the Spiritual Life【電子書籍】[ Mark Mah ]

This book uses the metaphor of walking to gain insight into the spiritual life. Walking is the most basic movement of the human body. For many people, walking carries no value on its own except to transit between two points. From the spiritual perspective, we can derive many benefits through the act of walking. As a spiritual discipline, walking not only has health benefits but generates different states of well-being that are good for the human soul and spirit. Walking gives us pleasure, joy, happiness, and serenity. Metaphorically speaking, walking gives us a sense that we are on a journey with God. It also helps us to know the importance of engaging our physical bodies in our spirituality. It keeps us attuned to the present moment, cultivates in us a sense of wonder in the natural world, creates an inner space in our cluttered lives, highlights the need for solitude and silence, and gives us the freedom of simplicity that the soul enjoys.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Journeys to the Other Shore Muslim and Western Travelers in Search of Knowledge【電子書籍】[ Roxanne L. Euben ]

The contemporary world is increasingly defined by dizzying flows of people and ideas. But while Western travel is associated with a pioneering spirit of discovery, the dominant image of Muslim mobility is the jihadi who travels not to learn but to destroy. Journeys to the Other Shore challenges these stereotypes by charting the common ways in which Muslim and Western travelers negotiate the dislocation of travel to unfamiliar and strange worlds. In Roxanne Euben's groundbreaking excursion across cultures, geography, history, genre, and genders, travel signifies not only a physical movement across lands and cultures, but also an imaginative journey in which wonder about those who live differently makes it possible to see the world differently.

In the book we meet not only Herodotus but also Ibn Battuta, the fourteenth-century Moroccan traveler. Tocqueville's journeys are set against a five-year sojourn in nineteenth-century Paris by the Egyptian writer and translator Rifa'a Rafi' al-Tahtawi, and Montesquieu's novel Persian Letters meets with the memoir of an East African princess, Sayyida Salme.

This extraordinary book shows that curiosity about the unknown, the quest to understand foreign cultures, critical distance from one's own world, and the desire to remake the foreign into the familiar are not the monopoly of any single civilization or epoch. Euben demonstrates that the fluidity of identities, cultures, and borders associated with our postcolonial, globalized world has a long history--one shaped not only by Western power but also by an Islamic ethos of travel in search of knowledge.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。
