Die damit verbundene gesellschaftliche Problemdefinition und ihre Implikationen f?r ordnungspolitische Ma?nahmen, bilden den Ausgangspunkt der Analyse. Ziel der Untersuchung ist es, kontraproduktive Effekte einer institutionellen Kontrolle der Fanszene herauszuarbeiten und in ein Modell einer sich selbst erf?llenden Prophezeiung abweichenden Fanverhaltens zu integrieren. Dabei wird versucht, etikettierungstheoretische Ans?tze mit der Theorie der psychologischen Reaktanz zu verkn?pfen. Anhand von qualitativen Interviews sowie der Inhaltsanalyse von Szenepublikationen werden empirische Aussagen ?ber Stigmatisierungsprozesse und reziproke Feindbilder gewonnen. Ergebnisse: ?Aktive Fu?ballfans (z.B. Ultras) gehen offensiv und kritisch mit einer erlebten Kriminalisierung um und relativieren ihr eigenes Handeln gegen?ber dem Bild der Ordnungsinstanzen. ?Eine ?bernahme des durch die Institutionen und Medien vermittelten Fremdbilds in eine eigene Identit?t findet auf individueller Ebene nicht statt. Daf?r benutzen subkulturelle Gruppen ihre Fremdsichten /-bilder in ironisierender und neutralisierender Weise oder aber um ihr deviantes Image gegen?ber anderen Fangruppen zu pflegen. ?Aktive Fu?ballfans benutzen das von einem negativistischen Fremdbild ausgehende repressive Verhalten ihnen gegen?ber, als Best?tigung ihrer eigenen Vorurteile gegen Polizei und Kontrollinstanzen.
