Lange said "Simple Faith" is essentially about having confidence the Bible is God's word, as he is concerned with secularism and religion dominating our culture, which has led him to reintroduce the Bible to readers.＜/p＞ ＜p＞The book breaks down arguments about Christianity "to the most basic yet powerful aspects of the Christian faith," according to the overview.＜/p＞ ＜p＞"I have the preconceived idea that the Bible really is the word of God, which means you can still trust it," explained Lange, adding, if the Bible truly is God's word and "it is the revealed word of God to man," that makes it no ordinary book. He said the word "simple" helps define the concept behind faith, and also represents his own mind.＜/p＞ ＜p＞"I have a simple mind," said Lange. "Some people, especially those who are more sophisticated, they have a hard time with me, because I'm so simple. So I decided to write the book about simple faith by a simple mind."＜/p＞ ＜p＞By simple, Lange does not mean simple in the way of "easy believism", where if you believe, then you're a Christian, but "simple," as in the concept of faith itself.＜/p＞ ＜p＞"First of all, one of the chapters has to do with 'How does a person reconcile with God', or how is a person, like they usually say, 'saved'?," said Lange. "And I say, it's only by faith. Very simple."＜/p＞ ＜p＞He said "Simple Faith" is based on an earlier book he wrote in the Swedish language, about the Christian faith in the Swedish philosophical world, which was called "The Dividing Line," and discusses the dividing line between religion and Christian faith. "Simple Faith," which he finished writing this last year, essentially evolved from "The Dividing Line," he said.＜/p＞ ＜p＞"Coming from a secularist society and humanistic parents, I have gone through all these issues," he explained. "You wonder how in the world did you come up with an idea like that if you grew up in a very liberal, progressive country? And I still believe it, so that's why I decided I'm going to write it and say, 'You can still believe this.'"＜/p＞ ＜p＞Lange said the book is for those seeking to figure out whether they can believe the Bible, for those who have just become Christians, for those long-time Christians as a reminder they can still believe the Bible, and for "sophistic philosophers," such as priests or pastors who have gone away from this message.＜/p＞ ＜p＞The process for getting the book published this time was different from what he did on his first two books in Sweden, he said.＜/p＞ ＜p＞"The two first ones I wrote in Sweden, I went to the printer and said, 'This is what I want you to print,'" said Lange. "So this time I did a lot of web searching, and I found this WestBow Press, which I had heard a little bit about before. And they do all the publishing."＜/p＞ ＜p＞WestBow is a Christian book company, with all books published having Christian messages, said Lange. Though he had a friend from Marquette edit the book, he said WestBow has cut out a lot of the work he had to do from the first two times he was published.＜/p＞ ＜p＞"The second book in Sweden I printed 1,000 copies and I had to distribute them and it was so hard, so they (WestBow) do the distribution on Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble, and it's an eBook." He said the company will print the book according to needs, and keeps 50 percent of proceeds from each book, which costs $9.95.＜/p＞ ＜p＞Lange will be requesting 100 copies from the company, and the book will be sold locally at Canterbury Bookstore, he said. Most notably the Codex Sinaiticus and Irenaeus, and it is regarded as profitable to be read in the Muratorian Canon, which would put it just below the Canon.＜/p＞ ＜p＞The most obvious ramification of this fact is that the NT (and indeed the OT) canon was still not fully settled, and it is a deep question to ask who then had the authority to set the canon? Did the Church hear from God? In what way? Through Councils? Through each believer being led infallibly to such a conclusion? How do we know they got it right? If something like this is true why did the early Church have such a loose outer ring of books? What do we mean by a loose outer ring? It was agreed by almost all parties what were the incontrovertible books. The OT was divided into three section by the Jews: The Torah (The Law of Books of Moses), the Nevi’im (or the Prophets) and the Ketuvim (or writings). The Jews in time did not question anything from the Torah or the Nevi’im. It is not known exactly when the various books were accepted as inspired by the whole community. What had always been uncertain were certain writings within the Ketuvim. Books such as Song of Songs and Esther. It is known that as late as the 2nd century Ad the Jews were still uncertain about these two writings.＜/p＞ ＜p＞The books known today among Protestants as the Apocrypha were accepted by and large by Hellenistic Jews in the 1st century but not generally accepted by Jews in Israel.＜/p＞ ＜p＞After the fall of Jerusalem, the Jews lost their homeland, and authority within the Jewish community fell to the Pharisees who saw to it that their particular views on Judaism prevailed.＜/p＞ ＜p＞Within the Church the Gospels and Acts (or Memoirs of the Apostates as they were also known) were accepted without question as being the very basis of Christian Tradition after the Apostles died. This can be seen as analogous to the view the Jews had toward the Torah. Next were Paul’s Epistles. All were accepted without question by the “Orthodox” or “Catholic” Christians. Analogous to this are the Nevi’im. Finally there were the Catholic Epistles. Some were accepted fairly early on. Others took a century or two for complete acceptance and some seem to have never quite sat right with everyone. Some books that were questioned are 2nd Peter, 2nd and 3rd John, and Jude.＜/p＞ ＜p＞Then we have the Shepherd of Hermas. A book, which, like the OT Apocrypha was accepted by some (mainly Roman Christians) but not by the majority. But unlike the OT Apocrypha which were accepted by the entire Church for 1500 years (bar one man Jerome, who influenced the Reformers to reject them) The Shepherd was finally rejected as being outside the canon along with other books like The Epistle of Barnabas. Some authors, like David Guzik, are amazed The Shepherd was accepted at all. He sees in it a legalistic form o Christianity that would excite few today. But then we must ask the difficult question of why? Why was such a book so popular so early on? Are we really willing to say that the faith started by Christ and preached in the capital by his main men, Paul and Peter so quickly descended into legalism? Of course it is a possibility, but is seems unlikely. Mankind was developed for the purpose of performing the labor needed to make earth inhabitable. Almost from the outset the genes of mankind began to mutate, yet still he lived in a type of golden age while in his original genetic superlative state.＜br /＞ What was destined to follow was a continuing state of genetic mutation and an outright battle between the mutants and those who remained closest to the original genetic superlative. The narrative describes how mutant civilizations collapsed over the centuries, but were rescued by those who stood closest to the original genetic superlative.
